Don't Vote For Pedro

I was very disapointed when we finally found "Vote for Pedro"
Not only did it take us two trips, but there was nothing with the name "Pedro" on it anywhere. It was just a depressing walk through a cemetary.
Like the 10-20 minute stop at the memorial for the soldiers wasn't bad enough.
There were some new neighbors with dying flowers covering the fresh dirt near by and nothing exciting in the cache.
Oh and then we passed "Babyland" and Sarah cheerfully informed me there was a headstone with my name on it.

Cemeteries can be photogenic sometimes. But I don't like to spend a lot of time in them. I've had enough cemetery to last me for the next three years thanks.

An Unsuccessful Cache Day

We went Geo-Caching last night. We went to 5 locations of caches and only found two.
The first one we left was in a ravine and we werent dressed properly and we couldnt take the three younger ones with us and *someone* had to watch them. So we passed that one, saying we would come back.

Another was in a cemetary and we didnt read all of the instructions so we got scratched and pricked and layed in mulch for nothing :P
Another was most likely a small one, in a tree. And it was getting dark.

I hate to leave and give up when I know something is there but we'll have to try again. And I'll make sure I read the instructions too, next time. :P

What a Weekend!

As was mentioned earlier, my friend let us borrow his handheld GPS 12. So far, over the two days we've had it, we found 7 caches. The whole family enjoys doing this together. Pretty cool! We've been quite busy!

After father's day dinner with my parents and my brother, we headed to the nearest park to find a couple.
Here's Em, checkin out the log for "Hangin in Solon."
And here's the group shot. We try to get a picture at (or near) each cache.

After we found that one, we started looking for our first "Multi Cache." A Multi Cache is a cache where the coordinates you get from the website are only the first clue. You must follow the train of clues to get to the final cache. This one was called "Spring Fever, Solon Style." It took us to a nice, very un-used portion of the park. That's one of the great things about geocaching: You get to see a lot of stuff you probably wouldn't have bothered with before.

Grandpa and Grandma hung back on this one. There was some questionable terrain involved. Deb took the photo, even tho we protested because she should be in the picture since she was the one to actually find this one.

On the way home we found another in the "Welcome to Bedford" series.

We started geo-caching today! I missed the first couple but we went to two more after I got back. The first one was called Cache Generator and a little tough to find but we *finally* found it. Then we went to Gorgeous Gorge and that one was almost harder to find. But eventually we did find that one too.

It's really fun, especially looking around in little spaces and things, and not knowing what to expect. I must be really good at it because i found both of them. ;)

But it was a beautiful evening, not too hot, not too cold or windy. It was nice. I look forward to more Geo Caching :)
